About the event
Indonesia is blessed with an abundance of geothermal resources, estimated to be around 24 GWe. To support the Indonesian Government’s aspiration of Net Zero Emissions by 2060, geothermal energy is targeted to contribute 17 GWe. Indonesia has a current installed geothermal capacity of 2.3 GWe, which is equivalent to an average annual growth of 60 MWe since geothermal energy was first utilisedin 1984. Therefore the 17 GWetarget is ambitious and requires the Indonesian geothermal industry to overcome many challenges. In this presentation Pak Prijandaruwill summarisesome of the Government-led efforts to support favourable conditions that will lead to substantial advancements for geothermal investment.
